Stuart Denyer, Still Life with Figure in the Background, 553 x 368mm
Stuart Denyer was born in 1953 in Reading, trained at Croydon College of Art and Design, the Kingston Polytechnic, where he obtained a BA, and the Royal Academy Schools. He works in oils, watercolours, mixed media, and acrylics. He began exhibiting at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and the Sutton and Grafton Galleries. His paintings are academic in the best sense of the word. This picture in watercolour, pastel and ink, is a carefully chosen composition ofa plaster cast (in the RA School), a table with chess board and a painting of the artist - a painting within a painting.
