Art and Sculpture Tours

The Friends of Harlow Sculpture and the Gibberd Gallery offer an expert-led day tour of Harlow, exploring its history and the life and art of Master Planner Sir Frederick Gibberd and Lady Gibberd, a founding member of Harlow Art Trust. The tour includes: 
 
  • A visit to the Gibberd Gallery with an introduction to the special exhibition from the curator, and a viewing of Sir Frederick's little-known and significant 20th Century Watercolour Collection. Works include John Piper, Edward Bawden and John Nash, Elizabeth Blackadder and many more.
  • A coach tour around Harlow’s distinguished collection of public sculpture, including giants of postwar public art Barbara Hepworth, Henry Moore, and Elisabeth Frink.
  • Lunch at Sir Frederick and Lady Gibberd's former home, and a meander around the fascinating Grade II listed Gibberd Garden.

Tours begin at 10am and last roughly 6 hours finishing around 4pm. Dates for 2018 are as follows: Thursday 19th April, Thursday 10th May, Thursday 21st June, Thursday 19th July, Thursday 9th August and Thursday 20th SeptemberOther dates can be arranged for groups of 10 or more.

Tickets are £28 and include transport and lunch.
