Roland Suddaby, Autumn landscape, 394 x 540mm

Born in 1912, West Riding, Yorkshire. Roland studied at Sheffield College of Art. Working in thr tradition of English watercolour landscape artists, many of his paintings were of Yorkshire, Suffolk and Essex. He also designed textiles, prints and fabrics. His work is represented in many English galleries, in the Mellon Collection, USA and Australia. He died in 1972 whilst curator at Gainsborough’s House in Sudbury, Suffolk.
