Anne Kilvington, Garden Through Net Curtains 2
Amie Kilvington was born in Sunderland in 1944 and studied at the York School of Art and the Royal Academy School. She lives and works in London and on the north Norfolk coast. Painting in oils and watercolour, etching and teaching the latter subject at Putney School of Art. She chooses to work in watercolour because she believes it is a more sympathetic and fluid medium for painting landscapes and gardens which are her chief interest. Since leaving the Royal Academy Schools she has exhibited annually at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. The two studies of the same subject shown here were purchased from the 1978 Summer Exhibition.
