This is an excellent opportunity to join an increasingly ambitious visual arts organisation in the South East, currently in an exciting period of development.
Harlow Art Trust has been commissioning, siting and maintaining public sculpture in Harlow, Essex, since 1953. Today, the collection holds work by some of the most prominent artists of the 20th century, including Barbara Hepworth, Henry Moore and Lynn Chadwick. Since 2011, it has also managed the Gibberd Gallery.
The Trust has recently secured funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund to deliver ‘Access Harlow Sculpture Town’, a major new project involving the conservation for 18 vulnerable works in the collection, and the development and delivery of an extensive learning and engagement programme.
We are now looking for a Project Coordinator to co-curate, schedule, deliver and evaluate a wide range of activities and events set out in the Access Harlow Sculpture Town project plan.
We are interested in hearing from candidates who have a keen ability to engage and enthuse others and an interest in the visual arts. With excellent leadership skills, you will be able to motivate a team of volunteers and work flexibly across multiple sites.
Educated to GCSE level, or equivalent, you will have strong organizational skills and be able to manage timetables effectively in order to successfully deliver a varied programme of work.
