Jackie Chakravarti will be returning to the gallery to exhibit oil paintings that she has been working on since winning the 2013 Open at the Gibberd Gallery. The exhibition opens on the 1st of May come and see some fluid and interesting oil paintings by a local artist. Find out more on our forthcoming exhibitions page.
This Easter weekend come to the gallery to see our Dreams and Fantasy show featuring Harlows Schools and college. Get the children involved in our fun workshop creating 2D artwork around the theme of dreams. Workshop run by artist Ella McCartney just £2 per child drop in bewtween 12pm and 2pm.
Rediscover the Sir Frederick Gibberd 20th century watercolour collection which has recently been reinstalled fully in the gallery.
Currently on display on our comunity boards 'If this house could talk' is an exhibition of intriguing photographs. Come and meet the artist on Thursday 10th April 10.30am - 4.40pm and find out more about the artist's inspiration and process.
Our 9 young curators have all passed their Silver Arts Award - A first for Harlow. Congratulations to all and thank you to all those that helped make it happen. A special thank you goes to Sue Wagstaff their awards tutors who helped each young person reach their goal. The exhibition that the group organised can now be seen at the gallery until the 25th April. The exhibition shows over 19 schools and Harlow college artwork based around the theme of dreams and fantasy.

Community Boards - 1st April - 28th April
This exhibition reflects and examines the lost and passing history of a 17th centuary Hunting Lodge, situated in the Po Delta region of Italy, with the alternative photographic process of cyanotype printing.

Chair of the Freinds of Harlow Sculpture Collection Jenny Lushington will be talking in a feature named 'Essex, My Essex' on BBC Radio 4 on the 28th February at 11am. In the show writer Ian Sansom revisits the county where he was born and the landmarks he remembers from his childhood. Listen in to hear Jenny discussing the sculptures of Harlow.
