The team at the gallery is made up of many different people all contributing to the development of a varied programme of exhibitions and events.

A group of over 20 volunteers assist in the gallery helping with day to day activities and greeting the public to ensure a warm welcome. Want to volunteer click here

There are three employed people who work together to produce the gallery programme, reach out into the communities and schools and create innovative ways of enjoying the gallery and Harlow's art collections.

The Harlow Art Trust is a registered charity and took over the running of the gallery in 2011 from Harlow Council. The Harlow Art Trust has been commissioning and purchasing public sculpture since 1953. The trustees have a wide range of professional experience and interest in the management, curating and production of the visual arts and all demonstrate on-going commitment to Harlow.

The Friends of Harlow Sculpture is a voluntary group which supports both the Gibberd Gallery and The Harlow Art Trust in promoting and caring for our town sculptures. They help finance and invigilate the gallery and promote awareness of the collections with guided tours and talks. They provide regular newsletters and interesting, relevant low cost excursions. They believe that taking ownership of the important works of art in Harlow, by their members, ensures their conservation and therefore the enjoyment for local people and the many visitors to the town.
